Phew.....back home at last! God is good. He answered my prayers! Supposed to wake up at 9 this morning but received a sms from Kehan that the time had changed to 2pm. I actually get to sleep more....hehe!
Reached overflow room around 2 plus. Saw Vitor and Peiyuan setting up. Kehan was late. Had this new guy helping in the setup. He's interested in sound. Told me he had dealed with both sound and video before but later asked me questions which lead me to thinking that he's just a person who just wanna "smoke" his way through. He could actually asked me why do we need to put those "speakers" on the stage? In the first place, they are not SPEAKERS, they are called AMPS! Later, he was telling me that the acoustic amp is very old base on the colour of the amp. Told him that's not true, that's the colour the manufacturer want it to be. Asked him if he knows the proper way to coil up cables, he said yes and could also describe it. But during teardown, I had finished coiling 6 cables and he's still struggling with 1. Asked me lots of stuff about videos and movie like which film was the first to have surround sound. told him I don't know and I don't care. Still, he want to tell me it's Jurassic Park.....Haiz! Halfway through P&W then I realised June wasn't around! Checked with Kehan later and found out that she was not feeling well. I prayed that she's healed in Jesus name!
But all praises to Jesus that the whole P&W and meeting went smoothly. Deacon Chin Wah was sharing 2 testimonies about these 2 girls from campus, who actually saw Jesus in the midst at 10th April P&W session. As I remembered, ShiJie and I were troubleshooting the snare and there were a few feedbacks. We didn't know of these testimonies then. At the end of the session, we felt okay with the mix. But when I heard about these testimonies, I realised that it's not our effort that brought the congregation to the higher level of worship but it's JESUS! Faithful is He and faithful He will forever be to us.
Pro 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Suddenly, this verse comes to my mind!
