Slept the whole full day today. Woke up in the evening, bought dinner and watched Cable, surfing channels between Discovery Channel and National Geographic.
After that, I played a DVD documentary titled "Lost Worlds - Life in the balance", narrated by Harrison Ford. It talked about the deep jungles of Guatemala, a black jaguar that prowls through the ruins of Tikal, a Mayan city that has lain abandoned for thousands of years. What can it's fate tell us about our own cities, our own society? It tells of how Nature has it's own balance while cities keeps advancing to a point where it's destorying nature and humans themselves. That kept me thinking what I thought was true. If we'll just be like nature that rest, we'll will be at rest, stress free and no worrries. We'll be as beautiful as nature. Do not be like cities that keeps advancing. God created nature and man created cities. Nature depended on God to keeps a balance in life but cities are man's work that keeps outdoing one another.
The sights of nature rainforest in the documentary was fascinating. How I wish I could just live in these natures than living here in the urban cities. My thoughts wondered off and I was thinking, how nice it'll be if I became an explorer. The documentary ended with a verse:-
What could be more inspiring
than to begin the age of restoration
reweaving the wondrous diversity
of life that still surround us?
Edward O. Wilson
So, one thing is needful in this world we live in now! One thing.......the only One thing we need, is, Jesus and all other things shall be added unto you.
