Today was a fun day! The reccom team were preparing for the simulation of Games Day station games. We were at Mackanzie very early in the morning preparing all the neccessary logistics for the games. In the midst of preparation, Dave wanted to show off his muscular thighs while Gary wanted to be a Saint...haha!
The rest of the team were at the field mingling away while waiting for the players to come. Dave was briefing the players.
Everyone had fun! Some played the games while some took candid shots. That's Dodgeball games below.
Then, we saw Annabelle and Anthony seated at the coffeeshop. They were there for their practise.
After a short break, we proceeded to play Slope Challenge. Andy, Rach, Yvonne and Gary were preparing the slope to be slippery with shampoo.
It's not an easy game as we had found out! It required teamwork from everyone to get up that slippery slope.
Just as we were about to finish, we realised there's a signboard at a near distant.
Hahahahahaha.................
We had a late lunch and the second part of the afternoon was to have Karen and Darren briefed us on their game called "Intelligent Game"! The questions were very difficult....or was I a little stupid?
I left early to attend Linda & Clarence's wedding at Changi Point. By 7 plus, I was very tired. Probably from the games and the hot weather. I was waiting for a chance to leave and finally, I found Jennifer & Wei Hsien, who had to leave too to attend a house warming party. Hopped on to their car and zoomed off.....phew!
Kinda like the song Pastor sang at the end of service for the pass 2 nights. It's originally composed by Mark Altrogge back in 1986. It's called "I Have A Destiny"! Indeed, each and everyone of us have a destiny!
I have a destiny I know I shall fulfill I have a destiny in that city on a hill I have a destiny and it’s not an empty wish For I know I was born for such a time as this
Long before the ages You predestined me To walk in all the works You have prepared for me You’ve given me a part to play in history To help prepare a bride for eternity
I did not choose You but You have chosen me And appointed me for bearing fruit abundantly I know You will complete the work begun in me By the power of Your Spirit working mightily
Had a short meeting just now to tied up some stuff before tomorrow's simulation! Before meeting proper, while waiting for Fabian, the two main guys were hard at work, preparing for the meeting. They are indeed serious when they comes to work, siah!
Julian tried to get into a conversation with the girls....haha...no success! Ping and Jul were too engrossed with their chat.
Okay, at last, Fab arrived with Jas. Now meeting proper. It lasted only about an hour. Everyone were serious during meeting. When it was my turn to be briefed by Dave, he was trying to tell me there's gonna be 10 beautiful girls playing at my station....haha! No, lah, actually it was 10 beautiful coloured hula hoops....haha!
After the meeting, Fab was trying to show us who's the boss.
Was too hungry during BS. So, I went to have my dinner at Kopitiam. Later, the girls from Gamma Team came to join my table. Had a good chat with them. Ash as usual her sense of humour who's "bullying" me most of the time.....or was it the other way round? I think it's more on me "bullying" her...haha! Wendy was with her whom I termed her The LAW-yer. Then came Chase who joined us later. She's kinda new with the team. Ash was playing with my camera phone and I thought maybe the girls should take some pics together.
Oh, Ash! I had to use photoshop to enhance the 2 pics you took. It was too dark to be posted here. So, I went to brighten it up a little! A little grainy though!
After BS, thought the Games Day meeting was on. But I got the wrong info. It's actually tomorrow, not tonight. As I hang up after checking with Dave, I caught hold of Charmaine, who was with ShiHao and the rest of the girls from YY's CG. We went to Kopitiam along Bras Brasah Road for supper. There, I ordered pig's intestine & liver soup with rice....again. I couldn't believed that I was eating again just 1 hour plus ago. Back then, I was having fish slice soup with rice. Oh, man, I can really eat tonight!
After supper, the girls took the train home while ShiHao rides on his Verspa scooter. I called a cab and sent Charmaine home considering that she's my brother's girlfriend. I felt I should be responsible to see her home safely.
Had a special service today just for the servers tonight! Buddy Bell was preaching on Ministry of Helps! It's true of what he said. "Do what God is telling you to do, not your friends telling you what to do!" He touch on verses like 1 Cor 12:28 and Rom 12:1-4. Later, after the break, he touch on 2 Chron 9:1-9 where Queen of Sheba came to Solomon's palace as a first time visitor! After all, we are all in this together. There's two things we have to do when we serve. One, be what God want us to be and two, be happy! I totally agreed to that. This message really came timely for me to realise a lot of things about myself! Thanks be to Abba!
Woke up early this morning and went for Reccom meeting. As the camp draws nearer, more and more meetings we will have. It started off with all the game ICs updating on the latest developements of the games. Then Ping concluded the meeting before we broke up into our own departments for a short briefing!
We had late lunch at Sammy's Curry Place. Lots of food till our stomach almost blotted up! Before going seperate ways, managed to take a few shots of the drivers and passengers. Jaisey's always the shy one who doesn't like to take pictures. The Combo Team and Jap Nite Team went to Tanglin mall for their meeting part 2!
As for Ping, Dave and myself, we hopped onto Gary's Merc CLK convertible and proceeded to IMM, Daiso, to get some logistics stuff for the Games Day. That's Gary in the supermarket cheering us with his humour again!
As we were moving off to Sam's place for a swim, Ping dozed off at the back of the seat, which I myself also dozed off after taking this pic. Dave try to pretend he's asleep too.
Sharks!! They didn't informed me earlier that they were going for a dip. I didn't bring along my trunks! As you can see, Dave was teaching Gary a new style of swimming technics considering that Gary is a qualified diver....hahaha! Gary's humour again! He was imagining that he was Ultraman. Noticed the blinker on his chest? Comical guy! Even his hair looked like Ultraman!
Sam just came back from a jog. It's evening and the souls of Gary, Dave and Ping rises from the waters to locate their next victim!
