Had Mens' & Womens' meeting this afternoon! Pastor Mark was preaching. Learned quite a lot from his sermon.
After the meeting, went to meet up with David & Gary for dinner. Didn't expect YY's CG members to be there too. After dinner, Rach was trying to teach us how to make a sun flower...hahaha! Gary and Andy was so engrossed in it while Dave was trying to make funny faces at the camera. Meiyi was doing the same thing too.
Then came the 3 "sisters" dressed in green! Sharon and Briget chipped in for a shot too!
Then, Dave did a few shots, just for humor. Like showing he's a man at work but can be as stoned as "Father of Reggie music", Bob Marley. He can be a lady's man, at the same time showing the feminine side of himself.
Then, Gary couldn't take it anymore! He must eat up Rach's sun flower.
Later, we went to Starbucks to chillout! There, Dave introduced some childhood games to play. Rach don't seems at all interested.
Went for Games Day meeting just now at Suntec Starbucks. It sure was comfortable sitting on those sofas they provided. I almost dozed off halfway through the meeting.
This time round, we were discussing the points system for the games. Then, Lynn was spotted going home. She came by to chat with us for a while. Ping came much later after having supper with her friend.
Our meeting was longest ever. The Starbuck staff informed us that they were closing and adviced us to leave. So we proceeded to the tables outside the cafe to continue our discussion. Hmm....a downgrade actually!
After 15 minutes or so, the staff came to disturb us again. He needed to chainup all the tables and chairs. So, another downgrade! We were reduced to sitting on the stairs at the overhead bridge, next to a dustbin! Poor us....hai!
When there were time's when the sky would bring me nothing Except the smell of the rain in summertime So I left my window open just to let you come inside Saying that you'd never leave me was a lie
When there were time's that my eyes were filled with water But all the world was desert dry So I hugged my pillow closer and I tried to close my eyes But the sound of distance thunder make me cry
Lady rain, I hear you at my window Lady rain, I need you softly falling on my face Why did the sun shining come and take you away I wait for you again my lady rain
I hear the sound of the breathing in the darkness And autumn rain can turn to snow in the night I'll be sleeping this september But I'll leave the fire light Just in case you feel like coming round again
And late at night when you pour down on me You're just in time to wash all the tears away
Desperate for changing Starving for truth Closer to where I started Chasing after you
I'm falling even more in love with you Letting go of all I've held onto I'm standing here until you make me move I'm hanging by a moment here with you
Forgetting all I'm lacking Completely incomplete I'll take your invitation You take all of me now
I'm falling even more in love with you Letting go of all I've held onto I'm standing here until you make me move I'm hanging by a moment here with you
I'm living for the only thing I know I'm running and not quite sure where to go And I don't know what I'm diving into Just hanging by a moment here with you
There's nothing else to lose There's nothing else to find There's nothing in the world That could change my mind There is nothing else There is nothing else There is nothing else
Desperate for changing Starving for truth Closer to where I started Chasing after you
I'm falling even more in love with you Letting go of all I've held onto I'm standing here until you make me move I'm hanging by a moment here with you
I'm living for the only thing I know I'm running and not quite sure where to go And I don't know what I'm diving into Just hanging by a moment here with you Just hanging by a moment Hanging by a moment Hanging by a moment Hanging by a moment here with you
Today, we had CG at mackanzie office. Man, it was awesome! First, we had Deborah on keyboard while Andy was singing to a few songs to get the people in the mood. While Mel was trying to get some rest. Then, came Dave to continue with the main worship.
After P&W, Sam touched on tithings which pastor had shared about 2 weeks ago. What the real reason that we tithe? This question was asked to all of us. As we go round sharing, I realised the real reason why I should tithe. You see, all this while, I was tithing because I just felt like tithing. I just wanna bless God with it. But now, I know, there's more to just that!
After the session, most of them went home. But Gary, Jo, Dave and me went to the coffeeshop to continue linger around. Our conversation broke into worship when Dave took up his guitar and played. His presence was just awesome. We kept singing on and on until about 1.15am before we called it a day.
Thank You, Abba Father, that Your presence was just awesome in this place today. Thank You, Lord, that You see us righteous. Thank You, Lord!
Is it getting better Or do you feel the same Will it make it easier on you Now you got someone to blame You say one love, one life When it's one need in the night It's one love We get to share it It leaves you baby If you don't care for it
Did I disappoint you Or leave a bad taste in your mouth You act like you never had love And you want me to go without Well it's too late tonight To drag the past out into the light We're one but we're not the same We get to carry each other, carry each other One
Have you come here for forgiveness Have you come to raise the dead Have you come here to play Jesus To the lepers in your head Did I ask too much More than a lot You gave me nothing Now it's all I got We're one but we're not the same We hurt each other, then we do it again
You say love is a temple Love a higher law Love is a temple Love the higher law You ask me to enter but then you make me crawl And I can't be holding on to what you got When all you got is hurt One love, one blood, one life You got to do what you should One life with each other Sisters, brothers One life but we're not the same We get to carry each other, carry each other One One
Morning hokkien service was great! The congregation is growing every week. Look at the soundguys at work! They were so engrossed with it.
After that, I was back at The Rock dozing off at the signup table.
While lazing around, I caught sight of Ash. She looked so elegant and gorgeous.
When the last service was over, we went for our dinner and proceeded to TCC to have meeting. First time ever, I was attending 2 meetings at one go. On my right was Jac and Ping discussing the program lineups that requires Sound and Video. While on my left was Dave and Gary brainstorming the games. Praise God I can multi-task.
The rest of the girls just finished presenting to church for the Jap nite. So they were all just chilling out behind us! Oh, look at Jo, her stoned look!
